U3A Wellington City committee
The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting and meets once per quarter. For a list of committee members click on the Contact tab in the main menu. Each member has a specific area of responsibility.
Volunteers assist at the lectures – meeting, greeting, managing registration of attendance, introducing and thanking speakers.
The annual programme of lectures and events is developed by the committee, mainly through recommendations from the general membership.
Interest groups are organised by convenors, whose role is to facilitate learning and research. The Committee’s Special Interest Groups Coordinator liaises with each group. Groups meet either in members’ homes or in a convenient venue. There are limits on the numbers attending these groups, depending on the size of the convenor’s home or meeting place.
The Annual General Meeting is usually held in September.
